Automobiles are a form of transportation that use an internal combustion engine to propel a passenger vehicle over land. It also uses a series of gears to adjust the speed and torque of the engine. The American companies Ford, General Motors and Chrysler soon became the dominant producers of automobiles.
Automobiles have become one of the most important inventions in human history. They allow people to travel long distances more easily and quickly than was possible before.
